INJURIES

Zyon McCollum - Remains busy in Week 9 McCollum posted seven tackles (three solo), including one tackle for loss, in the Buccaneers' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.
Impact McCollum played on a season-high 85 snaps (100 percent) and recorded a higher tackle total than the prior game for the third consecutive contest. The 2022 fifth-round pick already has a career-high 10 pass defensed, including the first two interceptions of his career, across nine games, and with 45 tackles in that same span, he's comfortably on pace to exceed the previous high of 68 stops he recorded across 17 regular-season games in 2023.

Tykee Smith - Stellar in return to action Smith furnished nine tackles (eight solo), one pass defensed and a forced fumble in the Buccaneers' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.
Impact The impressive rookie came back from a Week 8 absence due to a concussion and logged a robust 72 snaps (85 percent) while also finishing tied for third in stops on the Buccaneers. Smith's tackle total was also good for the second highest of his career, and he also jarred the ball loose from Travis Kelce in Tampa Bay territory late in the first half, which led to a fumble recovery by Josh Hayes. Smith now has an impressive 42 tackles (30 solo), an interception, four additional defensed passes and three total forced fumbles over eight games, keeping him firmly on the IDP radar heading into a Week 10 matchup against the 49ers.

Vita Vea - Limited to open week Vea (hip) was a limited participant at the Buccaneers' practice Wednesday.
Impact Vea recorded a season-high 10 total tackles (seven solo), including 2.0 sacks, in Monday's 30-24 loss to Kansas City. The defensive lineman appears to have picked up a hip injury in the contest and he'll look to raise his participation level at the team's final two practices of the week before Sunday's contest against the 49ers.
NOVEMBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
Jordan Whitehead - Unavailable for practice Wednesday Whitehead (quadriceps) did not participate at the Buccaneers' practice Wednesday.
Impact Whitehead compiled nine total tackles (five solo) in Monday's 30-24 loss to Kansas City, but he may have left the contest a little worse for wear. The safety will have two more chances to return to practice this week and move past the quadriceps issue ahead of Sunday's matchup with the 49ers.
NOVEMBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
Sterling Shepard - Dealing with pair of health concerns Shepard was held out of Wednesday's practice due to hamstring and hip injuries.
Impact The Buccaneers' receiving corps is extremely banged-up at the moment, with Chris Godwin (ankle) out for the season, Mike Evans (hamstring) sidelined for at least one more game and both Shepard and Jalen McMillan (hamstring) logging DNPs to begin Week 10 prep. How the pair fares as the week continues may determine if Shepard is able to maintain his recent trend of five targets in both of the past two contests.
NOVEMBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
Jalen McMillan - Doesn't practice Wednesday McMillan (hamstring) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
Impact A Week 8 matchup with the Falcons marked Mike Evans' first of a multi-game absence due to a right hamstring strain, and McMillan responded with four catches (on seven targets) for 35 yards. McMillan then tweaked his hamstring at practice last Friday and wasn't able to suit up Monday at Kansas City. With an absence to kick off Week 10 prep, he may not be in a great position to return to action Sunday against the 49ers.
NOVEMBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
Bucky Irving - Begins week as limited Irving (toe) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.
Impact Last Thursday, coach Todd Bowles revealed that Irving was dealing with a toe injury that may linger for the rest of the season, but he was able to suit up Monday in Kansas City and turn his 10 touches into 34 yards from scrimmage.. Meanwhile, backfield mate Rachaad White had six touchees for 35 total yards and one rushing TD, and Sean Tucker notched four touches for 17 yards. A similar breakdown for the trio likely will be the weekly reality as long as Irving continues to be able to play on game day.
NOVEMBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
Baker Mayfield - Tending to toe issue Mayfield didn't practice Wednesday due to a toe injury.
Impact Mayfield was able to force overtime Monday at Kansas City but then never got a chance to move the ball in the extra period in an eventual 30-24 loss. Overall, he completed 23 of 31 passes for 200 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions without the services of his top three wide receivers. Mayfield himself is tending to a health concern now, so his status will be monitored as the week continues to see if he may be in danger of sitting out Sunday against the 49ers.

Ryan Miller - Notches first career TD Miller played 34 of the Buccaneers' 55 snaps on offense and finished with one catch for a one-yard reception on three targets in Monday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs.
Impact Miller finished second among Tampa Bay receivers in snap share, though he benefited from Jalen McMillan (hamstring) and Mike Evans (hamstring) both being inactive for the contest. Evans will remain out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, but McMillan's potential return could result in a downturn in playing time for Miller, whose short-yardage score salvaged an otherwise uninspiring receiving line in Monday's win. Through three appearances this season, Miller has played 94 total snaps but has produced just five receptions for 59 yards on nine targets.
NOVEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Mike Evans - Working out off to side Wednesday Evans (hamstring) was spotted working out off to the side with a trainer during Wednesday's walk-through practice, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Impact The Buccaneers are still planning on holding Evans out for a third straight game this Sunday against the 49ers, but his presence at practice -- albeit without any involvement in drills -- bodes well for his chances of being ready to return to the lineup following the team's Week 11 bye. While playing the last two games without Evans and Chris Godwin (ankle), quarterback Baker Mayfield has relied more heavily on tight end Cade Otton (21 targets) and has spread the ball around among the Buccaneers' available wideouts.

Rakim Jarrett - One catch in OT loss Jarrett secured his only target for nine yards in the Buccaneers' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.
Impact A week after making his season debut, Jarrett saw a notable boost to 46 snaps (84 percent) to lead all of the Buccaneers' short-handed receiving corps. However, the second-year wideout saw a drop in production after generating a 3-58 line on just 20 plays from scrimmage in Week 8, despite the ongoing absences of Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (IR, ankle), as well as that of Jalen McMillan (hamstring). Despite the disappointing numbers, Jarrett should have a solid amount of opportunity again in a Week 10 home matchup against the 49ers.

Chase McLaughlin - Perfect on four kicks McLaughlin connected on his only field-goal attempt from 47 yards out and was successful on all three extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Mond...
Impact McLaughlin once again maximized his opportunities and was provided his second straight six-point performance. The veteran kicker is keeping pace with his career-best 2024, posting a 93.3 percent success rate on field-goal attempts and missing just one of his 28 PATs. McLaughlin's only field-goal miss has been from 50-plus yards, and he could be busier on that front during a Week 10 home matchup against the 49ers if Tampa Bay's offense stalls out more than it did against Kansas City.
NOVEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Trey Palmer - Two catches in OT loss Palmer secured two of four targets for 33 yards and returned two punts for 18 yards in the Buccaneers' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.
Impact Palmer generated modest production despite the Buccaneers' multiple wide receiver absences and his 49 percent snap share. The second-year wideout did record both of his catches on Tampa Bay's late-fourth-quarter game-tying drive, but he's yet to top three receptions or Monday's 33 yards in any contest heading into a Week 10 home matchup against the 49ers .

Sean Tucker - Logs four touches in loss Tucker rushed three times for 11 yards and brought in his only target for six yards in the Buccaneers' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.
Impact Tucker and backfield mate Rachaad White logged three carries apiece to Bucky Irving's seven. Tucker logged just seven snaps overall (13 percent) from scrimmage, and with both White and Irving available, the second-year back's role figures to continue being very modest as the Buccaneers face off with the 49ers at home in Week 10.
NOVEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Lavonte David - Eight tackles vs. Kansas City David finished Monday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs with eight tackles (five solo).
Impact David played every single defensive snap Monday, and he has logged at least eight combined tackles in six of his last seven outings. Through the first nine games of the regular season, David has logged 64 tackles (40 solo), including 3.0 sacks, four pass breakups, one interception and two forced fumbles.
